Objectives of the Course
In this course, teacher candidates will gain measurement and evaluation skills for their teaching careers. Teacher candidates will also learn to describe learning outcomes in their subject area and develop appropriate instruments to observe these outcomes. Finally, teacher candidates will learn basic skills to evaluate the results by using statistical methods.

  1. Definition of measurement and evaluation in education
  2. Gives samples related to measurement and evaluation used in education related to his field.
  3. It gives the definition and types of error involved in measurement made in education.
  4. Defines the reliability and validity of the measuring instruments used in education and gives the kinds.
  5. Gives the types and properties of tests used in education.
  6. Gives the types and characteristics of learning outputs.
  7. In his / her field, he / she writes student behaviors by determining the outputs of the education which are appropriate to the achievements of the Ministry of National Education
  8. They prepare questions appropriate to their learning outcomes.
  9. Develops test in the field, calculates applicability and reliability.
  10. It makes basic statistics on measurement results and their interpretation.
