Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to give the students who are new to education in Agricultural Structures and Irrigation Department the historical development of agricultural education and their importance in the development of our country's agriculture.

Historical development of the science of culture, developments in Turkish agriculture since the foundation of the Republic, development of water resources, Southeastern Anatolia Project, rural settlements and infrastructure problems, irrigation technology problems, drainage and land reclamation problems, agricultural hydrology and its place in culture technique, place in agrometeorology and culture technical studies, environmental control in agricultural production systems, soil and water problems and solutions, environmental pollution and problems of the Black Sea region.
