Objectives of the Course
This course aims to give students basic knowledge on morphology, physiology and classification of insects and their control methods and introduce fundamental aspects of plant pathology and disease management and control.

  1. Bitki Koruma, zararlı ve yararlı kavramlarını algılayabilme
  2. Nematoda, Annelida, Mollusca, Arthropoda (Arachnida, Insecta), Chordata şubelerine bağlı hayvansal zararlı türleri tanıyabilme
  3. Bitkilerde hastalık kavramını anlayabilme, hangi etmenlerin bitkilerde hastalık belirtisi oluşturduğu ve sorun olan yabancı otların neler olduğu bilgisini kazanabilme
  4. Bu etmenler ve yabancı otlarla mücadele yöntemlerini ana hatlarıyla kavrayabilme

Course Contents
Causes of diseases, general features of plant pathogens, symptoms, spread and transmission of pathogens, epidemiology, and basic control methods. Morphology of insects, function and structure of insect systems, the growth and development of insects, insect ecology, classification, collecting and preserving of insects. Basic management and control methods of pests.
