Basic hydraulics, fluid properties, concepts and practices of hydrostatics, fluid flow and applications, basic concepts and kinematics of fluids, basic equations (continuity, bernoulli and impulse-momentum equations), pipe hydraulics and applications, free surface flows(open channel flow).

Linear head losses in pipe flows 5. Local head losses in pipe flows 6. Analysis of pipe networks 7. Analysis of pipe networks 8. Classification and specifications of free surface flows, Properties of open channels, 9. Head losses and velocity equations for uniform flow in free surface flows 10. Compound Channels and Hydraulically appropriate cross-section 11. Critical depth and specific energy in free surface flows, 12. Hydraulic jump in free surface flows, 13. Flow Measurements 14.
