Basic definition and units; main anions, cations, heavy metals and trace elements existent in water; irrigation water analysis; basic irrigation water quality criteria for classification and water classification systems, clogging problems and the treatment methods in drip irrigation systems; effect of salinity on plant growth; water-salt balance in soil and leaching requirement; reclamation of saline and sodic soils.
