To give a fundamentals information of the least squares method, correlation, theory of error propagation, weight, mean error.

  1. to established the normal equation, to calculate the invers matrix, the unknowns and corrections of measurements
  2. to learn the least absolute value adjustment and the least square adjustment
  3. to learn variance, covariance, corelation, variance-covariance matrix
  4. to establish the correction equation and linearization of these equation
  5. to learn the correction and error concept and relation

Error and correction concepts. Precision criterions. Correlation. Theory of error propagation. Weight. Mean error. Subject, principle and types of adjustment calculus. The least squares method. Adjustment of direct measurements. Adjustment of direct measurements on different precisions and correlations. Introduction to indirect measurement adjustment, selection of unknowns and establishment of normal equations, reduction of normal equations, mean square error of unknowns, reduction of correction equations. Station adjustment.
