The definition, comprehension and area of usage of Ephigraphy and Paleography, The representation of Ottoman Turkish alphabet, Ottoman Turkish grammar.The practise of reading the eamples of inscriptions on architectural buildings.

1.Definition of Paleography and Epigraphy, their scope and application areas. The presentation and reading of the letters in Ottoman alphabet.
2.Arabic and Persian ords in the Ottoman Turkish language, The spelling features of Arabic and Persian ords.
3.The numbers in Ottoman Turkish, Hiri months, and their symbols.
4.The birth of Ottoman diplomatic science. Some fundamental rules of Ottoman diplomatic science. Paper types and usage.
5.General classification and characteristics of Ottoman documents. Imperial orders, letters patent, hattı humayun, sened-i hakani
6.Aklam-ı Sitte, The concept of inscription, The features of inscriptions in terms of language, ritting features, contents, material. Special features of the calligraphic inscriptions.
