Identify the plants used in phytotherapy and aromatherapy, to obtain information about parts of plants and usage methods, to reveal relationships between plants growing conditions with the active substance.

Course Contents
In this course, the concepts described in phytotherapy and aromatherapy. Our students is detailed information about cultivation of medicinal plants.For this reason the students will be learn; how to use these plants in aromatherapy and phytotherapy, time of collection/harvesting time, drying, storage, and evaluation forms, the methods of analysis. Furthermore, the course will be to be considered in the use of herbs, plants are widely used for this purpose, the active ingredients, the effect and usage methods. Studied forms of herbal teas and aromatic oils are obtained.

1.Phytotherapy definition, historical development, current status
2.The differences between herbal medicines and synthetic drugs, considerations in the use of herbal medicines
3.Conditions of cultivation of medicinal plants, the use of issues to be considered
4.Forms of herbal medicine,herbal teas, galenical preparations, the preparations
5.Herbal tea preparation methods, and examples
6.To be considered in the preparation of a herbal tea, and examples
7.Except for herbal teas, use of plant drugs use methods (extract, herbal teas, ointments, flakes, medicated oil), internal and external use
8. Herbal tea preparation methods, patterns of use, amount of use of some medicinal plants (especially common among the people of lime, rosemary, sage, plantain, echinacea, hawthorn plants), warnings
9. Examples of external use of some medicinal plants (flax, centaury, garlic, black cumin, chamomile, etc.) warning

12.Synthesis of essential oils, consuming methods and uses in aromatherapy
13.Applications of aromatherapy (massage, inhalation, compression and bathroom), and must consider topics
14.Essential oil extraction from some plant samples in the laboratory (rosemary, sage, lavender, thyme, bay leaf, geranium, basil, mint, etc.)
15.Essential oils used in dilution of fixed oils, obtaining forms, benefits, and overall assessment of the course
