  7. Students can understand short, simple texts containing the most common words, including some shared international words.

  10. Students can write very simple personal letters expressing thanks and apology. They can write short, simple notes and messages relating to matters of everyday life.
  11. Students can understand enough to manage simple, routine exchanges without too much effort.
