Objectives of the Course
The main purpose of this course to raise awareness on the concept of participation and planning, , which also has an important position among planning theories, and increase the comprehensibility of those not only in theory but also via providing national and international examples for both planning and architecture students. In order to achieve that aim the course provide students with base understanding of planning and urbanisation to bridge links between different scales of planning with architecture.

Course Contents
This course builds on two main sections. In the first section students will be given base information about planning and urbanisation that then will be linked to the initial thoughts of participation. The second section on the other hand, will focus on a detailed theoretical background including the dimensions of participation and its legal basis enriched with national and international implementation examples, where students will also involve in group projects, to present at the end of the course, about participation examples and comparisons.
