Objectives of the Course
In this course, students will be informed about the properties, types and production of refractory materials, monolithic refractories, isolation refractories. Various industrial applications of the furnaces used in the production of metals by introducing the classification of furnaces in terms of technological design, furnace efficiency, heat losses and heat recovery issues will be examined. The effects of furnaces and refractories on the environment will be given.
