Objectives of the Course
Some of the references include Benjamin, Adorno, Horkheimer, Marcuse, Foucault, Baudrillard, Deleuze and Guattari. Emphasis will be placed on a comparative analysis of these sociologists as well as their positions vis-a-vis the major theoretical currents of the last century, such as postmodernism, post-structuralism and post-positivism.
