Objectives of the Course
A comprehensive course on the circulatory system. It deals with the histology, embryology and function of the blood and lymphatic circulatory systems and heart.

  1. Students describe and define blood vascular system.
  2. Students identify general organization of blood vessels.
  3. Students identify tunica intima-endothelium,subendotheliel layer.
  4. Students identify tunica media and tunica adventitia.
  5. Students describe types of blood vessels.
  6. Students identify arteries(elastic arteries,muscular arteries and arterioles) and morphological structure and function.
  7. Students identify veins(large,medium-sized and small veins,venules).
  8. Students identify capillaries-morphological structure(endothelium,basal lamina,pericytes).
  9. Students identify lymphatic system.
  10. Students identify lymphatic vessels.
  11. Students describe lymphatic vessels’ structure.
