Objectives of the Course
It is aimed to teach diagnosis and effective treatment of neurological disorders presenting in domestic animals, provide information about precautions to be taken regarding these diseases.

General laboratory examination of the nervous system; collecting CFS and its cytological examinations and evaluation of the biochemical markers and routine metabolic profile evaluation. Viral agent related nervous disorders; Meadi-Visna, Caprine Arthritis Encephalitis, Border disease, Herpes Myeloencephalopathy of Horses. Viral agent related nervous disorders 2; Pseudorabies, Alphavirus and Flavivirüs encephalitis of horses, Borna disease, encephalomyelitis of sheep, Viral agent related nervous disorders 3; IBR, BSE, Scrapie, SBE, Rabies. Bacterial related nervous disorders 1; Listeriosis, thromboembolic meningoencephalitis; Bacterial related nervous disorders 2; Mycotic Encephalitis, pituitary abscesses, Brain Abscesses; Bacterial related nervous disorders 3; Botulismus, Tetenus , Tuberculosis. Parsitic nervous disorders; Coenurosis, Nervous Coccidiosis, Heart water, Cerebral Theileriosis, Cerebral Trypanosomiasis, Babesiosis. Toxications effecting CNS; Salt pois., Lead pois., Nitrofurazon tox., Ethylen Glycol Tox., Oil Distilates. Miscellaneous diseases of CNS; CCN, Hepatic encephalopathy, Heat sroke, Vitamin A deficiency. Epilepsy in ruminants. General aspects of therapy of CNS diseases in Large Animals.

Week Theoretical Practice Laboratory
1.General clinical examination of the nervous system in domestic animals.
2.General Laboratory examination of CNS; Taking and cytologic – Biochemical examination of Cerebro spinal Fluid (CSF), evaluation of metabolic profiles.
3.General Approach to diseases of CNS in domestic animals
4.Viral agent related nervous disorders; Meadi-Visna, Caprine Arthritis Encephalitis, Border disease, Herpes Myeloencephalopathy of Horses.
5.Viral agent related nervous disorders 2; Pseudorabies, Alphavirus and Flavivirüs encephalitis of horses, Borna disease, encephalomyelitis of sheep.
