-Also students are taken with the central examination by OSYM

Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)

Transition from Other Higher Education Institutions to the University, Regulation on the Principles of Transition between the Programs of the Associate Degree and Undergraduate Level in the Higher Education Institutions Published in the Official Gazette dated 24/4/2010 and numbered 27561, Double Major, Minor and Minor Institution Credit Transfer, Decisions of the Higher Education Council and the Senate .
The adaptation of these students to the training programs is carried out by the relevant unit management boards.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations

Students who have completed their education programs are given associate degree and bachelor's degree diploma by explaining unit and department name. Graduation date is the end date of the exam period determined in the academic calendar. Diplomas are signed by the dean / director of the Rector.

Profile of The Programme

The specimens arriving at pathology laboratories are to train laboratory technicians to make pathologists ready for microscopic evaluations.
Our students graduated from Pathology Labotaratuar Teknikleri program, who are trained by carrying out laboratory applications, can perform pathological procedures such as tissue attachment, blocking, cross sectioning, histological and histochemical staining in pathology laboratories.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

Students are subjected to one midterm and one final exam from all courses. The contribution of the midterm exam is 40% and the contribution of the final exam is 60%. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. There is a requirement to take at least 50 points from the semester / year-end examination.
Notes are expressed in 4-system. Students who take one of the letter grades AA, BA, BB, CB and CC are deemed to have completed that course.

Graduation Requirements

In order to be able to graduate from the program, it is necessary to be successful in the summer internship with the courses and applications in Pathology Laboratory Techniques Undergraduate Program.

Facilities

In Pathology Laboratory which is located in high school, basic pathology applications can be made to our students. In addition, our students can practice advanced and specialized laboratory courses in equipped laboratories in OMU Medical School Pathology .

Programme Outcomes

  1. Evaluate interpretations using basic knowledge and skills related to the field and identify possible problems and solve them.
  2. The health institutions define the material properties, functioning and organization of the pathology laboratories within the body.
  3. Has enough knowledge about archive, warehouse, laboratory security.
  4. Depending on the developing technology, it adopts the changing techniques and uses new vehicle devices.
  5. They get coordinated with the doctor in charge of pathology laboratory and other health personnel in the direction of education.
  6. The health institutions use the relevant tools, devices and techniques in the pathology laboratories within the body and carry out all routine and special procedures related to macroscopy and histotecnology under the patrolled supervision.
  7. Communicates effectively with colleagues and other health professionals.
  8. Health institutions prepare all basic and special chemicals, solutions and dyes used in the pathology laboratories within the body.
  9. It is an example of gathering with external appearance, attitude, attitude and behavior.
  10. It updates the knowledge, skills and competences related to the field with the awareness of lifelong learning and develops itself personally and professionally.
  11. It refers to social, scientific, cultural and professional ethical values.
