Program is established in 1982 and was enrolling students until 1998. The program gave a break accepting undergraduate students for 6 years and resumed accepting undergraduate students in 2004.

Students are required to complete formal education and primary and secondary education in order to start undergraduate education.

Students must successfully complete the courses and internship studies identified in the program and must have a GPA of 2.00.

Profile of The Programme

Students in the program takes physics science courses from faculty members of science and education faculty, physics department. Teaching profession related courses are given by Education faculty members. Completion of programme takes 5 years.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

One midterm exam a final exam and an complementary final exam is apllied for the spring and fall semesters for all courses.

Graduation from the program requires that at least 174 national credits hours of courses or ECTS of 240 must be taken.

Lessons are carried out on a semester basis. There are 1 professor and 4 associate professors in this program. In addition to the compulsory subject courses that develop and mature the field knowledge, there are elective courses for students' interest and ability. Theoretical lectures are supported by practices in the laboratory. In addition, internships are offered at secondary schools for pupils to train themselves in the teaching profession.

  3. Recognition of the problems of education in the field of physical education and gain the ability to model and solve this problems.
  4. Preparation of a research project on a topic of chosen area and gain ability of data collection, data analysis, evaluation, reporting and presenting the project.
  5. As a member of the Republic of Turkey founded by Atatürk, To have the knowledge of Atatürk's principles and understanding, adopt this princeples to move the conutry into the level of developped contries.
  6. Gain the ability to use modern techniques and computational tools required for educational applications.
  7. To have The development of instructional technology through a variety of quality instructional materials, selection, implementation and evaluation skills
