General Description

History

Department was created in 2009 including plant biotechnology, animal biotechnology and enzyme-microbiology biotechnology units.
Department have 6 Teaching staffs and 3 Teaching assistants.
Department have three labs : 2 research labs and a multidiscipline lab

Qualification Awarded

Graduated student will have Agricultural Engineer as a title

Access to Further Studies

The students completed this programme successfully can apply Master of Science and Doctorate of phisolophy program if they have enough and valid Ales mark.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

Students have to take midterm exam and a final exam for each lesson.The mark is determined by evaluation of midterm exam , homeworks, training issues and final exam .The work is counted to take 40% of midterm exam , homework and other tarining issues and 60% of final exam.It is necessary to take 60 out of 100 to pass a course.

Programme Outcomes

  1. Gain the theoretical knowledge required for modern agricultural production.
  2. Tarımsal faaliyeti içinde yer alan ve ekonomik üretimi yapılan tarımla ilgili ıslah, genetik gelişim, üreme, genetik mühendisliği, endüstriyel üretim, bitkisel, hayvansal ve mikrobiyal teknolojik yaklaşımlar, enzim teknolojisi konularında gerekli bilgiye sahiptir.
  3. Identify the problems, generate and implement solutions by theoretical and practical professional knowledge provided
  4. Biyoteknolojik konularla ilgili olarak karşılaşacağı sorunların tespit edebilir, elde ettiği verileri analiz edebilir, elde ettiği sonuçları yorumlayabilir.
  5. Produce the necessary projects relevant to agricultural biotechnology and execute a basic level research independently
  6. Access accurate knowledge in a quick and reliable way
  7. Effectively use lifelong learning materials and systems
  8. Communicate with society, produce and apply useful projects
  9. Make business attempts in seed technology
  10. Have responsibility for solve problems in their teams
