General Description

History

Academic staff of the Department provides “Reproduction and Artifical Insemination (Veterinary) Master of Degree Programme Education” by Institute of Health Sciences only for graduates from faculty of veterinary medicine. The department’s academic staff currently consists of 2 associate professor, 1 assistant professors and 1 PhD students who maintain the research programmes and laboratory studies within their specialized field.

Profile of The Programme

The Master of Degree programme consists of 4 semesters. 2 semesters for the lectures and 2 semesters for the thesis and 27 classes with a total of 202,5 credits.

Graduation Requirements

It’s obligatory to attend to the theoretical lessons, to complete minimum 60 credit score, to prepare at least one seminar, a thesis and to be successful in written, oral and thesis exams in Reproduction and Artifical Insemination (Veterinary) Master of Degree Programme.

Laboratories:

Laboratory of Reproduction and Andrology

The laboratory is well equipped with a phase contrast microscope with heating tray, a stereo microscope, a fluorescence attachment microscope, a sterilizer , a heating tray, a deep freeze (-20 C), a refrigerator.Andrological and spermatological examinations can be done in this laboratory.

Programme Outcomes

  1. The aim of this programme is to train individual scientific persons of Veterinary Reproduction and Artifical Insemination, who can have the sufficient scientific theoretical and practice rules of their own principles in their fields and to plan and direct a scientific research own by their owns, to come trough a reason with scientifically evaluating the data.
  2. To gain the knowledge and practise of master of degree.
  3. Contribute the progression in the field by producing an innovative idea, skill, design and/or practice or by adapting an already known idea, skill, design, and/or practice to a different field independently.
  4. Critically analyze, synthesize and evaluate new and complex ideas.
  5. Ability to communicate and discuss orally, in written and visually with peers by using a foreign language.
  6. He/she uses theoretical and pratical information in his/her field. He/she is aware of the benefits and responsibilities of the achieved degree and to carry out his/her profession accordingly.
  7. Approach to new information in the field with asystematic manner and acquire high-level skills in research methods.
  8. Comprehendthe interaction between various disciplines related to the field; reach original conclusions by using the knowledge of expertise on analysis, synthesis and evaluation ofnew and complex ideas.
  9. Critically analyze, synthesize and evaluate new and complex ideas.
  10. Ability to train individual scientific persons of Veterinary Reproduction and Artifical Insemination, who can have the sufficient scientific theoretical and practice rules of their own principles in their fields.
