General Description

History

Our department was established in 2003 within the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University OMU and began to undergraduate education from the academic year 2003-2004. The master's and doctoral programs started since 2006 and the first doctoral students graduated from this program in 2008.

Specific Admission Requirements

Graduates of veterinary faculties or should have a veterinary anatomy master’s degree to be eligible for Veterinary Anatomy Doctorate Program.
Applications will be accepted according to the Postgraduate and Doctorate Training Regulations of Ondokuz Mayıs Uviversity.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations

1. To reach independent definitions which bring new concepts to field of Anatomy, to develop original ideas and deepen level of expertise, search current and advanced knowledge on the basis of undergraduate-level qualifications
2. To understand interdisciplinary interaction is associated with Anatomy; to analyze new and complex ideas, evaluate the results of a systematic approach to use the new information and to share achievements
3. To be aware of the authority and responsibilities provided by the education program Completed in the field of Anatomy and to have the ability to perform the profession obtained
4. To design and perform an original research independently.
5. To adapt an idea, method or application which brings innovation to Anatomy field independently to different areas of research
6. To publish at least one scientific puplication on national and/or international refereed journals in the area of specialization and/or expand the frontiers of knowledge in the field of specialization by generating or interpreting an original work.
7. To be capable of leadership in environments that require to resolve the novel and interdisciplinary problems.
8. To share knowledge of their own field of specialization by participating the congress, panel, symposia, workshops and seminars related to its own area or in different disciplines.
9. To collect all kind of data (field observations, scientific knowledge etc.) related to the field of specialization and to evaluate for the purpose.
10. To communicate and to discuss in written, oral and visually with at least one foreign language in European Language Portfolio C1 General Level.

Profile of The Programme

The objectives of this program is to equip the students with the ability of conducting independent research and skills to study and analyze scientific events from a wide and profound perspective, and identify new steps to be taken to reach new syntheses in veterinary anatomy and to provide researcher scientist working in this field.

Graduation Requirements

The registration, attendance and marking principles are ruled out according to the principles of the Graduate Training Regulations of Ondokuz Mayis University. If this grade exceeds or equals 75, the student will succeed that course.

Bone maceration and storage room (10 m2)

The laboratory is well equipped for research on gross and sub gross anatomy. We have Olympus SZ-61 TRC stereo-microscope and Olympus C-5060 digital camera with microscope attachment, micro dissection set and computer.
